World History
World History is divided into four distinct periods: Ancient, Medieval, Early Modern and Modern. Each of these periods is the focus of study for one academic year; the four year cycle is repeated, allowing students to delve more and more deeply into the material.

In the course of examining history, students are introduced to a broad array of governments, social structures, technologies, scientific discoveries, literary traditions and artistic and architectural expressions. In so doing, they are drawn into a vast realm of human inquiry, opened to the great possibilities of life as it was, as it is and as it might one day be

A Column in Palmyra in Syria, Known in Ancient Times as "The Queen of the Desert". Mentioned in the Second Book of Chronicles (8:4) of the Bible as Tadmor (As It is Also Known in Babylonian Tablets and in Flavius Josephus' Antiquities of the Jews).
